FROM SEATTLE (by Ferry): Take I-5 North to Exit 189 (about a 35 minute drive). Follow the signs to the Mukilteo ferry terminal and take a 20 minute ferry ride to Clinton. (Ferries leave about every half hour). Then drive 28 miles from Clinton to Coupeville and turn right at the pedestrian overpass onto N. Main Street. Drive about 9 blocks to the Anchorage Inn - a big white Victorian house with a red roof on the right. FROM SEATTLE (by car, about 30 minutes longer than the ferry): Drive I-5 North to Mt. Vernon/Burlington, Exit 230. Go west on Hwy 20 and follow the signs to Whidbey Island. Cross Deception Pass bridge and follow the signs to Coupeville. Turn left at the pedestrian overpass onto N. Main Street. FROM THE NORTH: Drive I-5 South to Mt. Vernon/Burlington, Exit 230. Go west on Hwy 20 and follow the signs to Whidbey Island. Cross Deception Pass bridge and follow the signs to Coupeville. Turn left at the pedestrian overpass onto Main Street. FROM THE WEST (see below) : Take the Port Townsend ferry to Keystone (a 30 minute crossing). Turn left out of ferry landing onto Engle road. Follow this road into Coupeville. Cross Hwy 20 to N. Main street. |
